Hey Redden! Thank you so much for posting all of these videos! I am testing July 23-25 in Madison and am working on the sim lab stations again. I found your videos VERY helpful! On the IV Push station, do you have to have the medication going in constantly, or are 1/4-1/2 second pauses acceptable? I am having a hard time keeping the med flowing without short stops...thanks Cherie' Bailey
I think it depends on how you have your IV line set up. When mine was open it flowed more consistently. I have it flowing into a glove now and it's not quite as even. I think the labs at the CPNE are easier to regulate. Make sure you open the minibag roller all the way then use the main bag roller to regulate the flow.
I'm testing July 25-27 in Madison. I'll be there on the 23rd if there's anything I can help you with let me know.
Sorry I was responding to the IVMB. Try for no pause but I'm hoping short ones go unnoticed.
What hotel are you staying at? 2 of us that I know of are at the La Quinta...that's wild knowing that you test just after we do!!!! Good luck to you...by the looks of your videos, you are READY!!!!! See ya soon! Cherie'

Hi there! For the IV push lab, is it the multidose vial (vented access device) that we will be using? No need to inject air in, right? Thanks.
At my CPNE we drew up flushes from a bag, no air could be injected. And the vials didn't require air either.
Hi Redden, I am testing in approximately a month. How did you make your IV push hand model. I want to make my own so that I can practice. I watched your video. I loved the kick the trash can comment.
Thanks,
Tresonja
